What do you do if you want to establish yourself as a leader in your organization?

True leadership is not about fancy designations or that coveted ‘corner office’ Great leaders are those who possess a clarity and conviction in their vision and is able to fire up the team’s imagination by showing them ‘the big picture’ Infusing a feeling it of empowerment, trust, and collaboration is like painting a collectively breathtaking masterpiece where each team member’s brush strokes count. A leader is truly successful when the team truly believes in the beauty of their ‘collective vision’

The most effective leaders are those who not only possess excellent domain knowledge and brilliant terrene knowledge but also have a unique people touch. To become a leader, you must first be one of them, then be most of them, and finally, be the best of them.

To establish yourself as a leader, you need the mindset of a leader more than the skill set.Begin with your own team and work on these aspects: 1.Get to know each member-his/her aspirations,ability, working style and challenges if he any he/she is facing. 2.Co-create a inspiring vision for your that every member connects with.Help them understand how their efforts contribute to achieving the vision. 3.Involve them in dealing with the team's challenges 4. Encourage your team to think beyond the team and contribute to improving organizational processes. 5.Look at interdepartmental issues and step in to facilitate resolution. As people in and outside your team experience your leadership, you are on the way to be an organizational leader.

I stress this with coaching clients and my junior leaders in the Army. Know your strengths and how those strengths show up for you. Doing assessments can uncover these strengths. If you don’t know what you’re great at then how can you position yourself for success?

assess and understand is important but the most important is what you show. The most important quality as a leader is to be at the service of others.

I coach my clients to have conversations with their leadership on finding areas they can gain leadership experience in. Often these are projects which can be great tools to gain a leadership skillset with. Asking for more leadership responsibilities can be a great way to learn. You want to make sure that your end goal is clear between you and your leadership. You want to collaborate with them on getting you the experience you desire anyway they can.

Connect with peers in different departments and look for opportunities to collaborate. Find ways to mentor others and share your knowledge by mentoring a junior peer. This not only benefits them, but helps show your leadership skills.

El sombrero de líder siempre es transitorio, por lo tanto de manera muy genérica ? Tener vocación de servicio. ? Empoderar a cada miembro del equipo. ? Hacerse dispensable, el equipo no tiene que depende de uno.

Think strategically by going beyond your immediate tasks. Develop a vision that can help the organization improve. Be passionate and motivational by being a positive influence for your peers. Remember a leader is not a title. By consistently demonstrating your leadership qualities through your actions, you will gain respect, trust and recognition that may lead to a leadership title in your future.

Be authentic, ethical, and transparent in your actions, and prioritize the well-being and success of your team and organization above personal gain. Stay resilient in the face of setbacks and challenges, and continuously strive for growth and improvement as a leader.
