When you're doing a teaching internship, you're in someone else's classroom. It can be difficult to walk the tightrope between making it "your" class and respecting the rules that they already have in place. In my experience, it was helpful for both parties to set the expectations from the start. I.e., what rules do they want you to follow during your internship? How will they give you feedback? What does your program require from you AND from them? All of these are helpful to answer because it helps you to avoid any uncomfortable "blurriness" down the line. Additionally, make sure that you are always willing to go the extra mile to implement their advice and help them out. After all, this partnership will be invaluable in your learning!

Respect and the willingness to learn, according to me this are the best two ways to establish meaningful connections with mentor during your teaching internship. Your Mentor is always ready to mentoring you or serve you the best way possible, but in return they want the only thing, which is nothing but the respect and dignity. So as a student, be proactive and be respectful with your mentor

Apply their advice in your teaching practices and share the outcomes with your mentor.
