To become a strategic thinker as a researcher, it would be beneficial to; 1. leverage relationships with mentors., 2. seek relationships with people you would consider strategic thinkers in your fields and even adjacent fields; 3. Study strategic thinkers by signing up for talks, webinars, and listening to podcasts. e.t.c. and listen for thought patterns; and 4. Seeking wisdom and direction from God's word and in prayer: This has helped me the most as I continue to grow in strategic thinking and drives the application of the other strategies.
