You must be clear of what to expect for data and the behaviour of sensors you are working with. 2. Programming skills: generally when you have a good understanding of c you can do well with most of the programming tasks. Hence, mastering c/python and working familiarity with modern frameworks is going to help greatly. 3. Community engagement: the vast community of contributors is a big help, hence engaging in community discussions and reading expert opinions is also important.
