What do you do if you want to become a data analyst but don't know which programming languages to learn?

In my experience, I have found Python to be a suitable language for data analysis, statistical analysis and machine learning tasks. It has great community support and amazing up-to-date libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn, some of which are written in C++ at the backhand, making them ten times faster than normal Python scripts. For instance, when you use Numpy arrays instead of standard arrays in Python, you can get 10x better execution speed. Tech giants also support Python by regularly creating amazing libraries such as TensorFlow or Pytorch for deep learning tasks.

For someone starting in data analysis: 1. SQL knowledge is key for data retrieval. 2. Python skills offer versatility. 3. Excel, Google Sheets for data handling. 4. Master one visualization tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) for insights presentation.

You can start with Excel and then move to Power BI and then Tableau and then any other tool that you might want to explore. This will allow you to master how to use visualisations for relaying proper analysis without using any hard programming. Once you have covered the tools you can now start building your database management skills by learning SQL and then if you want to learn programming further you can start with Python which is a great programming language for Data science and analytics.

Other than SQL and Power BI, if I'm going to analyze the data I'm working with and then make a presentation of it, it's definitely going to be Excel and PowerPoint. Very convenient system and user-friendly design. You don't need to think anything extra. Because years of experience allow us to say that.
