This has been one of my challenges, introducing Process Mining as a modern way of process management and process design. You need to understand the organization's capabilities, resources, and more importantly, priorities on the one hand. On the other hand, you will need to arm yourself with robust business cases, strong presentation, and effective value propositions.

Absolutely all the above points are necessary, but before you can do any of them, you must first have a project (to which you can apply them). During 1:1 discussions, team meetings and overall reviews, put yourself out there - volunteer for projects no matter how small and start demonstrating those design skills. This will allow you to "pilot" your skills, prove you are a great process designer/re-designer and can take on larger scoped initiatives.
