For new grads, list your education at the top especially if the job requires it and it is entry-level. For your work experience, relate the duties to the job you are applying to. Networking is a super power. During your job search process, networking can become a real game changer. ? Participation in both online and offline events ? Leveraging networking by using platforms like LinkedIn ? Connecting with previous colleagues ? Connecting with new people using reference are some of the ways to build network. It's not about only adding numbers. It's all about building meaningful connections by - building rapport - learning from others - positioning yourself as a strong personal brand by consistently sharing value adding contents based upon your niche - connecting personally - seeking advice and feedback to move in the best possible way.

Recruiters and agency staffing teams are time poor with often hundreds, if not thousands of applications to review. My tip is track your applications, use notion, a spreadsheet or any other tool that you like. Whichever you choose add in the date you applied and if this passes two weeks and you've not heard back be proactive and reach out on LinkedIn or over email to the hiring time, express your interest and why you think you're a good match for the role.

Pick up the phone ?? There's much to be said in a discussion about the merits of modern vs traditional communication. But to keep it simple, email and even social media are "passive" mediums. They allow the recipient to respond later. That's a problem for busy people like recruiters, because then they often just forget, or their day runs away with them, (or pick any other excuse) ?? Short of actually going to see someone, a telephone call is a direct way of communicating ?? Tell them what you need - and that's better communication.
