Like they say "Fire is a good servant but a bad master ". Be careful with chasing shining stars as they can cause potential harm. That said we all need to embrace change and experiment with new things so start with understanding the way the new technology works , check how secure is the process , what are their policies on data sharing , what is the market rating and review on the product etc. If you are an early adopter always try with sample data and a basic features and explore and test it hard with the intent to learn. Also seek a demo from the vendor so you can get more clarity.

If you manage an international scope, ensure the local languages you need are covered and that the content isn't centered on only one culture.
