Language documentation is always the best place to learn about the language. In some cases the documentation can be hard so watching few video tutorials can help. Many languages these days provide learning resources on their documentation pages, they are quite good. It’s always beneficial to learn about why before going for how. In my case I generally enjoy learning historical context of technology before using it. For me it’s, almost every time I got deep understanding of language by building some basic project in it. The more languages you already have under your belt, the less I would go for heavy books and courses, because they mostly start at too basic of a level. Pick a small project that you could easily do in your current language that showcases a few things (arrays/lists, dictionaries, iterators, pattern matchign, some classes/structs/records to represent some business model etc.) Then after you read the basic intro or tutorial of the new language start implementing and reading up when you get stuck. Also an LLM can greatly help, e.g. “How would I do Python's @dataclass in Elixir?” Once you're done you'll already have more insights than what you started with. So read everything you wrote again for clashes with the language's idioms.

Choose top-notch educational materials, including books, tutorials, online courses, official documentation, and online courses, that align with your learning objectives. Give top priority to resources that provide in-depth information and useful examples that are specific to applications at the enterprise level, like those that address performance, security, and scalability.

I usually start out with reading/watching quick tutorial and then dive into small projects to get a feel of the language and then try implementing a project that I know I can do well in other languages that I have already mastered. Also having the language documentation side by side will be very helpful too. With recent advancement in LLM coding capability, we can also ask LLMs to translate small snippets of code from one language that we know well to a new one that we are trying to learn. Of course, always verify and try to understand everything. Your ultimate goal is learning, not getting the job done!

Sometimes it might take longer than expected for a fresh mind to create a program but if you keep practicing then you will achieve great success.

Structural leaning always helps to understand a lot in less time so until one gets basic understanding of language structural learning can be followed. After that one’s creativity should decide how to proceed with language for given problem statement. One important thing is, try to code as much as you can in initial learning phase. When we try to set goals , we need to make sure the goals are realistic in the first place. I personally follow something called SMART goals procedure which is Specific , Measurable, Acheivable, Relevant and Time bound goals An example could be “Completing a course on Spring Boot and deploy a Microservice by the end of this month”

I'll set my goal to learn a new language like, 1.Read the docs, find why you really need to learn this language, say like you want to explore AI, or Mobile application then you gotta look at the language which meets with your end goal. 2.Practice daily, consistency is the key, daily write a small program starting from hello world, on a daily basis keep improving yourself. The only thing which matters is the second point. 3.If you feel like you have mastered the language you are learning start exploring the frameworks associated with the language. Start solving more complex problems. Build a few applications and try deploying it to the internet. If you get stuck at some point don't worry there are a number of forums to help. Be Consistent.

Consistency is the key to Success. Always try to maintain consistency and try to solve at least one problem every day. If you are practicing consistently then it will help you to gain good confidence which will help to crack good companies.

There is no substitute to practice. Instead of doing a lot in one go try to do at least some amount every day. Hope this helps.

You can't just watch tutorials and expect to master a language. Get your hands dirty! Even if it’s just a script to automate your coffee maker, use the language daily. And remember, mistakes are just new bugs you haven’t fixed yet.

Try learning everyday if possible or at least multiple times a week. I find that learning smaller chunks in multiple attempts almost always easier and better than trying to learn a large chunk at once

Also these resources are useful not to just solve coding challenges but to improve your coding and algorithmic skills, for example, to be the best candidate in job interview

There are many good communities where people help each other, like for coding you will find many Discord/WhatsApp groups where people will guide you to become good at problem-solving. Always try to connect with people so that you can learn new things.

A course to start with your first programming language (paid or free) is usually what I think helps you master the art of problem solving. Post that, whatever language you want to learn, use OpenAI as much as you can to start with, and diversify into writing from scratch later. The intuition on what to write where would start coming after a while. A thumb rule is, if you can make a to-do app in any language you are trying to learn without citing resources online, you are on the right track. Plus networking and having a group of people who want to learn the same things as you helps as well.

If you want to go really deep into the language, maybe chasing top 1%, try to do some real world project in it. Ship features, get feedback, improve them, deliver improved ones with more interesting new ones. Freelancing projects or open-source is the good option, the best one is to make your own product.
