En mi experiencia, hay mucha gente con distintos conocimientos en lo referente a los ERPs, los hay desde los directores con visión financiera que lo que le importa oir son términos financieros, como tasa de retorno, estados financieros, etc, otros con gran conocimiento de los procesos operativos, donde hablan igual de hojas de ruta, recetas, cálculo de coste, y otros más que conocen además por experiencias propias el ERP que se busca explicar. En todos los casos se debe mostrar la capacidad de hablar en el "idioma del cliente" y evitar siglas como IM, WM, BOM, etc

Una forma que generalmente aplico: Trato de entender la industria, rubro u área de conocimiento del interlocutor que está preguntando, para encontrar ejemplos aún más tangibles, si el interlocutor es de una industria determinada se puede preparar la entrevista entendiendo el mapa de valor de la industria, se puede preguntar los puntos de dolor que tiene actualmente al no poseer un sistema integrado y partiendo de esos ejemplos extender la visión de cómo se resolverán esos puntos en un sistema Erp.

Los conceptos complejos, suelo explicarlos con metidología Top-Down. Es decir, primero planteamos una explixación completa, pero de alto nivel, y luego profundizamos o detallamos los diferentes puntos. Siempre cuidar el uso de los ejemplos, pues pueden acaparar la atención y distraerse del concepto.
