From my perspective, technicall skills and knowledge can be built up easily. Soft skills and attitude are not. If you do not match the technology profile the company is searching for, score with different sills instead. Highlight examples where you have successfully managed a technology shift in the past, emphasize why you would like to have this job, score with soft skills based on concrete xamples where they made a difference in your past.
