What do you do if investors aren't interested in your startup idea?

When investors turn you down, you really should just give up and hang your head in shame. Most likely your idea was rubbish to begin with.

If venture capitalists turn you down for seed money, you have three options: (1) ask mom and dad for help; (2) marry a rich person; (3) ask your developers to work for “equity.”

Et des investisseurs qui refusent ne veut pas dire que l’idée est mauvaise. Ils donnent juste leur avis, ce qui n’est pas toujours la vérité. Je conseille de prendre en compte tous les aspects de votre business et de vous assurer de les ma?triser. Investisseurs ou pas, si l’idée est bonne bingo.

Such pivots, though minor, can significantly alter your startup's trajectory.

Listen to what investors saying about your start ups, maybe you can obtain some good ideas from their comments. And make it a turning key for next round.

The first impression is lied on your pitch. It needs to be compelling. If investors don't like your pitch, it means there's something missing or wrong in it. You need to rethink on your strategies, also highlight your team's expertise and the traction you've gained so far. Surely helpful. Signing off!

What you say and how you say it is critical. If you can't clearly and concisely explain your problem, solution, and how you'll make money, no one is going to listen to you. Try saying it a few ways, and practice on friends, colleagues, and strangers. Here's the real trick - after you tell them about your business, have them repeat back what they heard - and record it if you can. Can they explain the way you intended it? If not, go back to the drawing board. Keep iterating until you get it right. As I always say, I'm an angel investor, speak to me like I'm 5 years old.

Bootstrapping involves utilizing personal finances or business-generated revenue, which showcases the entrepreneur's commitment and resourcefulness, potentially increasing the venture's attractiveness in future funding rounds. With a strategic approach (and patience!), it is possible to build momentum and attract investors who may have initially passed on the opportunity. It doesn't matter if investors aren't interested. It matters if customers aren't interested. How much you raise from investors is NOT a measure of success. What ARE measures of success: - revenue - revenue growth - number of customers - customer growth - recurring revenue - recurring revenue growth If you're building a company with a scalable product, and you're in the process of growing in a meaningful way, investors will find you. Investors want traction, revenue, annual/monthly recurring revenue from customers. But the focus should be on making the customer happy and wanting to pay for your product. Worry about what they think, need, and want vs. the investor.
