There is not a "one shoe fits all" answer to this question - it all depends if the people that are interviewing you already believe in LEAN Manufacturing or if you are trying to convince them that this is the right way to go. It is also essential that there is an overall plan because there is no point spending huge amounts of money optimising one part of the process if the next stage will never be able to handle the improvements - all you will be doing is creating very expensive bottlenecks with no future solution.
