This brings to mind a visualization I recently saw on my social media feed, titled 'How do we learn?' It was a bar chart with three categories: 'when taught', 'by doing something', and 'from mistakes'. 'From mistakes' had the highest percentage, suggesting that we tend to learn most from our errors. Increasingly, research-backed approaches suggest that adults learn best from productive failures rather than individual learning or performing tasks. This is not to say that the other methods are ineffective, but frequently, learning from mistakes proves most effective. However, this doesn't mean you should deliberately make mistakes either. Instead, thoroughly evaluate your errors and use them critically to devise alternative solutions.

Failure due to incompetency, vs due trying something new and novel- you will experience systemic issues, and that's where we define failure landscape- where we define basic, complex and novel failures/ mistakes.
