when you are in live coding challenge always reed the prompt with the interviewer, ask some questions to see if you miss something that you don't read, read carefully, normally you are pressure but, don't worry, remember we are all humans(yet until comes the AI), remember, ask the things to feel comfortable to start coding, then read the information carefully. after you feel understandable to the prompt in software development, you can ask, NOT CODING, step by step to how to solve the task, maybe there are some side factors that you don't see and ask also. when you feel ready start doing it!

3 Break it Down

Complex problems are more manageable when broken down into smaller, more digestible pieces. By decomposing the issue, you demonstrate an analytical approach to problem-solving. Explain each step as you go, which not only keeps the interviewer engaged but also helps you to keep track of your own thought process. If you hit a snag, dealing with one component at a time prevents becoming overwhelmed.

Any complex problems have small pieces of sub codes that allows to solve more easy when you are solving during the interview, always before you move on the exercise, please ask if you miss for some side effects of solving the issue, then make a list of steps how to solve the problem, i truly recommend to use a white board and i recommend to manage your time during solving the exercise, this allows the interviewer to see your confidentiality of solving a problem and also, understand the structure of solving a problem.
