By embracing change, I believe it is important to remind ourselves that what problem is the "change" trying to resolve. To be more accurate, we should embrace change WITH A PURPOSE; so we are consciously controlling the design, instead of being controlled by the design technology and lost in the hypes.

As architects, we stand at the intersection of tradition and innovation, tasked with shaping spaces that reflect both our heritage and the possibilities of tomorrow. In the face of advanced technology reshaping our profession, our commitment to continuous learning becomes our anchor. Given how quickly our technology evolves, it is not easy to keep up with the frontiers constantly because climbing new learning curves can be more frustrating and time consuming than we expected. However, here is a trick that I found useful personally is that "Learn continuously with our prior knowledge." In that way we gain new skills as if they are the ergonomic extensions of our prior knowledge, instead of treating them as insolated subjects which can be quite mentally taxing.

Embracing wide collaboration enables us to leverage diverse perspectives and expertise, enriching our designs and ensuring they meet the demands of a rapidly changing world. In this spirit of collaboration, we transcend the limitations of individual knowledge, harnessing the collective intelligence of our peers to push the boundaries of architectural excellence.

Undoubtedly, building performance has always been a focus when comes to deploying advance technology. Yet, I would argue design optimization should prioritize human health especially they can be competing against each other. For example, enlarging windows helps bringing in natural daylight for our circadian entrainment but it can also be a big thermal bridge that reduce the energy efficiency. Optimization is now becoming more important in finding the equilibrium solution.

At the end of the day, advance technologies are essentially tools. They serve as mediator between different principles of designs. Therefore, it is more important to enrich ourselves with inter-disciplinary knowledge so that we can maximize the benefits of adapting the advance technologies for a meaningful design that set the benchmark in reshaping architectural profession.
