Getting feedback from surveys depends on whether users feel like sharing and might only say what they think sounds good, not what they really feel. A better way to understand what users think is by watching what they do. Services like Hotjar or Inspectlet can show how people use the app without having to ask them directly. For small companies without many testers, trying out services like UserFeel or UserTesting can help see how people actually use your app. Sometimes, what you think is clear might not be so obvious to others.

A user only shares feedback under two situations. Either he or she is in an exceptionally good mood or the user is freaking out with rage. In both cases, you should make it as easy as possible for the person to give feedback. For instance an email adress in the footer or a direct link for a quick survey with just one text field!
