These drives have a long history of use and reliability in a stationary position and good for servers or desktops which are kept stationary. These are slower in performance to SSD and Hybrid drives.

These drives are good for Laptops and Mac Books they are less prone to damage as they don't have any moving parts. Since they consume less power making the laptop run for a longer duration on battery power.

HDDs can be used where speed is not the priority they are good for storage of large amount of data as they are cheaper. SSDs are good for faster boot time and devices which run on battery backup, on the move and utilizes a lesser space in the device. SSHDs are good for boot speed but rest of the time they are similar in need to HDD
