Indeed, expectations of customers are often quite high and they are able and willing to speak out publicly when feeling disappointed. This is why open and honest communication with customers is vital. Often we have a tendency of trying to hide or embellish our troubles or mistakes, but my experience is that talking honestly, saying I'm sorry when that's needed and explaining why certain things went wrong will in the long term both strengthen customers' trust in you and reduce the amount of infeasible expectations.

I cannot over emphasize the reality as against the expectations Managing these expectation are very difficult especially with the on going, staffing issues l, delivery constraints and a host of other challenges. I believe that communication in a clear and timely manner will help melt down some of the challenging circumstances our valued customers are facing. Most times the turn around time fir the stock to get to dem is ridiculously late. As a CS manager, it's assumed that I will have the answers or expertise to handle any question or escalated matter, but that simply isn't the case. I can't tell you how many times I've been presented with a question I didn't know the answer to or an issue I had no immediate solution for/prior experience with. Being in this role has empowered me over the years to take initiative and utilize my resources - be it systems, people or my own experience to discover the next steps towards solutions. The key for me has been to have confidence in taking action or that one next step in spite of any reservations I may have on my own ability to resolve the matter.
