One thing I've found helpful and extremely important is to block time on the Executive's calendar for them to prepare for upcoming commitments, respond to emails and phone calls, as well as transition from and to their meetings.

All of these applications and online tools are imperative in an executive assistant position. I use them all and having the training and knowledge on each is critical for productivity and becoming an asset within your company. Trello is a great way to stay organized and Slack is fantastic for those of us who are remote.

I agree. Developing and improving soft skills are highly essential to keep evolving. Personally, I participated in the Mckinsey Forward programme this year and it was amazing. I learnt new ways to approach communication and problem solving skills amongst others. As an executive support,a lot of our tasks will involve soft skills. Always improving in this area will make our impact count.
