No matter what ... NEVER USE A PODIUM !!!!! Always wear a lavalier microphone .... so you can walk around the stage ... or get off the stage and walk around in the audience if you so choose. Always always do a a rehearsal with the tech folks/ sound people so you are not worried about your mike screaming if you get too close to the speakers. Learn the names of the sound people so that if something does need to be adjusted in the middle of the presentation, you can call on them by name. Have fun ! ??????????????

Selecting the appropriate microphone for the right application is key: Dynamic microphones are often used in live concerts to capture instrumentation or vocals where a lot of stage bleed is present, reducing unwanted noise through the PA system. Dynamic Mics can also handle higher SPL for instrumentation such as guitar amplifiers and kick drums. In more sensitive applications where high fidelity is required, such as orchestras or choirs, a condenser microphone will be more suitable as it provides a higher frequency response, and is more sensitive. Do keep in mind that condenser microphones cannot handle the same amount of SPL as dynamic microphones.

It's important to always consider the RF frequency bands to avoid interference and microphone drop-outs. Things such as inhouse equipment and WIFI networks can affect these signals.
