One time in Detroit I had 90 minutes between appointments and I was near the Art Museum. I went to the desk, said I was from out of town and had 45 minutes to see the highlights, what would they suggest? The gave me the top three items in their exhibit (one was the Quilts of Gee's Bend!) and a discounted admission rate. It was a great break! The other time was a lunch break in Dallas, I walked to the Art Museum and had a great bite and a little culture. Win win.

I chatted with a couple who asked for my business card and I have travel stickers and my business name on the top of my laptop. So when I'm working, I'm advertising. :) I also wear my golf shirt with my logo on it which tends to start conversations.

I catch up on emails, WhatsApps and add to my social posts. It's time well spent and means when I get to my destination or home, I have quality time in those places. Always make sure you set an alarm on your phone about 50-60 minutes before boarding and recheck your gate; it's easy to get stuck into something and you don't want to miss that flight!
