'Green Building' can be achieved when we design vernacular. Somewhere, we need to do more than 'Green Washing'! A full glass building in Denver would trap heat & thus consume lesser energy through it's HVAC. While the same building in Delhi will actually need huge amount of energy to just cool it. Yet both can be rated 5 Star Green Building! Building Designs must first become vernacular and then excel in becoming low carbon. That's when the standards set for energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, indoor environmental quality, materials selection, based on site can be achieved.

Yet the designs that one would do and the future construction that would happen shall have to perform optimally 50 years into the future, without adversely impacting the environment. Is difficult to achieve with EIA's done with past data. It's recommended that tools be used that can not only access the past data but also project future scenario in weather and climate change.
