What are the best ways to customize an LMS for teamwork and collaboration?

Let's first explore why exactly teamwork and collaboration are required for org. learning. Learning is very personal it can not be forced. The actual learning has to be done by the learner. Yet learning requires collaboration within the org. For eg. the product team may come up with new product features. An experienced salesperson may convert them into benefits & advantages. This may result in a better learning experience for a new joiner in the org. A good LMS should support such collaboration. Teamwork & collaboration may also be required to create learning communities. All those who joined the org on the same day may want to learn from each other. The faster learner supports the slower learners for the greater good.

Incorporate specialized devices like talk, conversation gatherings, and video conferencing to work with ongoing communication among colleagues. Carry out cooperative elements like shared reports, schedules, and assignment sheets to smooth out the project on the board and encourage collaboration. Empower a bunch of explicit access consents and jobs to work with joint effort while keeping up with security and secrecy. Integrate social learning elements, for example, distributed criticism and information-sharing networks, to empower coordinated effort and information trade.

In my experience, designing collaborative activities is the critical part. Here group dynamics and organisation culture come to the forefront. Many organizations may not promote an open culture of criticism. Small things such as sharing test scores of the entire batch of learners openly may actually impact the learning outcomes. Thus, stakeholder management becomes a critical part of designing any collaborative activity.

Of course, learners can also use easier ways like forums to exchange and share their knowledge in the form of text or pictures.
