The more you can understand about the culture and the people that are in the room, online - the more personalised the experience can be. This will allow for an optimal experience through a tailored delivery approach.
An observation I would make as to how audiences ‘consume’ learning now compared to when I began my career in L&D is a shift to a more activist centred learning preference. Audiences tend to want to learn by application and through meaningfully aligned experiential activities in their training. That is not to say other less active learning styles are not important and significant, as they definitely are, but when these are coupled with interactivity that engages the intellect and the emotion the results are typically more effective.

Training delivery all comes down to energy/enthusiasm, directness, participant involvement, retention/comprehension measurement, and recognition of time. From years of delivering group training sessions, one of the other critical elements is to involve the uninvolved. In most training groups there are a number of people that are answering all the questions, providing all the comments, etc. A master trainer is able to keep those folks involvement at an appropriate level without muting the less proactive voices. I always found the better I did at learning and using people's names, the more I was able to get a more broad group involvement. Lastly, I would suggest providing tangible assets for participants to take notes and follow along with.

As a corporate trainer and coach, the first form of evaluation is during the actually training. As a seasoned trainer, I can tell by my trainees’ body language, facial expressions and questions what was delivered successfully and what wasn’t. The next form of evaluation is the post training feedback from attendees. The next is working with the HR department and evaluating performance based on what was given in the training and assessing how much has been utilized and implemented in the practical world. Training NEVER fixed the problem but ensuring that what was trained is truly being performed is essential!
Three formulas to coordinate like a pro : ATD,KYF,KYL 1.ATD :For me the heart of "training coordination" lies in attention to detail. If you can run the whole program in your mind's eye with vivid imagery, you will be able to anticipate the gaps and proactively take steps to address them. 2.KYF (In case you are not the facilitator) : Know your facilitator. The more you are aware of the facilitator's needs and end goals, the better you can align your energy with the overall learning objectives. 3.KYL : Know your learners to the extent that you understand the learning objectives very well. As a coordinator you should be competent enough to provide your input on the content.
As a recommendation, you can use Kirkpatrick model, to evaluate the training. In each level you can see through the feedback and the knowledge assess, what you need to improve. A good tool for evaluate your training and the knowledge can provide you good feedback to enhance your training programs.
As a trainer I concentrate on trainees needs, background, experience and expectations, depending on that I plan my training programs to be delivered to the targeted audience then checking required logistics and of course if I am part of big program or plan I should be aware of the course of the program and plan, other details vary according to each program.
