Join top10 LinkedIN Groups such as 3Dprinting-Today, 3DP Guild, AMUG, AM/RP … Choose your field of interest to narrow down your search. Follow key Influencers on LinkedIn and comment on their post to get onto their “radar” Top media 3DP platforms: 3Dprint.com, the TCT group, Fabbaloo, All3DP, 3Dnatives, 3DPI and Adept3D.

Next to attending events, it does also pay-off to host own events such as webinars, live 3D construction printing events, own booths at trade fairs. Inviting and exchanging with various stakeholders of the construction value chain paid-off for us.

To find truly meaningful relationships within the additive manufacturing community you need to ask questions and listen, most of the people in the technical community can smell bull crap from a mile away or sales pitch. I've been at this over 30 years and I can tell you with me it's all about the technology in the application of the technology. Everything else is just noise. So be willing to listen and ask smart questions.

Along with events, I think it's important to have a social media presence. Doesn't really matter what platform as you can find people on all of them. Personally I've found that publishing articles on 3dprint.com has been quite helpful as well as having a TikTok and YouTube channel. I get quite a lot of people that reach out and want to talk or have questions.
