What is the best way to record and archive live streaming content?

My opinion is to archive everything on a drive(s) that are not gonna be in use nowhere else. Load them on the drive, unplug it and then put the drive on a shelf or for an example, I use a small refrigerator that is not plugged in, that way I don’t have to worry about dust or it being damaged. Make a log in excel or something, so you can find the footage or clients project you need to find. If you do store them on a drive that is in use all the time, back it up as frequently as possible
