For these, reason, the way the can communicate, the way the receive communications from other customer interactions is key for long term relationships. While quantitative KPIs are very useful for short and mid term relationships, qualitative analysis will give an overview of the relationship with the customer for years, and can help to take actions to improve this relationship.

I believe the fault with sales operations could be the common modus operandi of “doing to sales” instead of “doing for sales”. The best environments for collaboration between sales ops and sales is when the leaders collaborate and align behind a strong sales strategy. The sales leader needs to develop a robust, executable sales strategy & which sales ops then help the teams execute. The gaps are identified in the sales team & sales ops helps the sales leaders close the gaps needed to execute the sales strategy - not the other way around where sales ops try dictate business strategy onto sales without being clear on the why.
