The best way to measure the effectiveness of a hazardous material (HazMat) training is through Safety inspections, risk assessment and or audits for a continual improvement of the MSP implementation. Its important to safeguard that HazMat are properly labeled, transported and stored by segregated. All employee must be trained on a proper handling, Safe PPE inspection, use, maintenance and cleaning. One of the indicator of a HazMat training effectiveness is to reduce the likelihood of an accident to happen. Thereafter a proactive and leadership safety approach is through Safety inspections and audits. Besides to the training its important to consider the journey Safety planing, the operator's competency and emergency management plan.
