These resources can be in terms of time, materials, or external services. Once accounted for, we can assign the corresponding value to each item and multiply it by the scope. Thus, this approach will allow us to have fully itemized and clear rates.

You can also specify for each step, but I personally think it's risky, some may think they can cut out from your process to save money and that's not always the case.

You should also listen to your client's concerns and empathize with their situation, but avoid lowering your fees or compromising your standards.
