What is the best way to integrate APQP with other quality methods?

No need to integrate. APQP milestones are built in a way that it covers all aspects of process/product design, Process/Product development, testing and validation. Hence all the Quality methods are already embedded.

It may include statistical techniques in a different way to improve the APQP and help the organization's performance through a cross-functional team. Also, APQP milestones help workforce to understand their contributions in the organization. It is very important to display information of APQP in a format that is easy to read and to interpret when milestones have been reached and show the strategic aspects to address the most important problem.

In my experience, to ensure that a new product meet the customer needs it is necessary to improve any activity within the organization from suppliers to customers. Also, it is important to put emphasis on waste reduction in all activities that consume resources but creates no value like overproduction, inventories, motions, interruptions, rework, wait, etc., As well to synchronize production rate according to customer's demand by line up all the activities needed to get the project done. It means, working together with the best tools for the work.

Meanwhile, FMEAs, and how to use them to establish specifications and for making other informed decisions to be used to identify: every possible way something might fail, and design and planning can be made to prevent or mitigate these failures.

Process capabilities need to be studied before freezing the process. Targets for cpk needs to be freezed and should be continuously monitored for continuous improvement
