What is the best way to handle conflicts with your record label?

I believe it is also just as important to assure your potential label understands your objectives and your personal brand. It is your responsibility to assure the label sees your expectations very clearly. I believe this means you must understand your personal brand and you must have your expectations down in writing. It is easy during any negotiation, especially when you have an opportunity to be signed by a well known label, to assume they understand your needs. In reality the objectives of the label will overshadow your needs. Make sure everyone understands the others needs and objectives before moving forward to other topics such as financial packages.

Please I can’t stress this enough get legal representation. Getting your hard earned work taken from you for years really can happen.
