I have made a career in analog circuits. Analog is more associated with antennas and RF amplifier design. Building a electronics lab at home to help with your studies is cheaper these days. Start with knowing DC and AC circuits! Vectors will help understand and solve complex power systems. A well rounded approach is key for employment, so, follow up with Solid state devices and Digital circuits. Then you can specialize in the electronics you are more comfortable with or what pays more (I prefer the one I like the most).

Iniciar con el entendimiento de los circuitos básicos, de las compuertas lógicas, familiarizarse con la lógica booleana, interpretación del Mapa de Karnaugh, etc. Dominando estos conocimientos se puede empezar a incursionar en los circuitos secuenciales. Lo ideal es entender de la composición lógica de estos circuitos y como generan memoria. De ahí en adelante ya se puede empezar a pensar en contadores, registros de desplazamiento ya que las bases se encuentran fuertes. Theory is important and the basis of all good engineering but your understanding of electronics will truly begin the moment your oscillogram is different from what you imagined the circuit is supposed to do.

Starting simple with a signal filter is a great way to understand the basics of analog electronics. A practical project requires that one apply the theory to design and plan. Even a simple filter project will require that one does the math to tune the filter, design the filter in some simulation software (another crucial skill that one will learn during a practical project), go through the data sheets of the required components, build a prototype on a "breadboard" (allows for mistakes) or veroboard (benefit of learning to solder) and maybe even go further and use some sort of PCB design software to finalise the project and create a permanent solution. The process for a digital project is relatively the same.

Read theory(Analog/Digital design) -->Perform Simulations(LT Spice is good enough)-->Develop circuits using bread board and check the behaviour.
