I believe the best techniques for solving complex problems include breaking them into smaller, manageable tasks, employing critical thinking and logical reasoning, seeking diverse perspectives, using data and evidence to inform decisions, fostering creativity and innovation, and maintaining adaptability to adjust strategies as needed. Collaboration, effective communication, and a systematic approach, like the scientific method, are also essential. These techniques help analyze, address, and overcome complex challenges across various domains, from business to science and beyond.

Complex problems may require critical decision making. One way to tackle such a problem is to employ first principles thinking: starting with any identifiable root causes and expanding from there. This will help you view the problem from its smallest pieces that may be easier to solve than the problem as a whole.

In my experience, we don't have to underestimate small innovations Problems exist everywhere. You can remember hundreds of minor problems that you faced in the past days, and most likely, one of them will be a problem suffered by millions around the world. Your solution to this problem will make you rich in a very short time.

Define the problem, What is it and try to understand it. See if you can break it down in easier to chew more manageable components. Start to generate some solutions with alternative solutions so you have a variety for different circumstances. Develop an action plan and then put in into action. Think of your resources, what? who? where? Sometimes you may need to adjust your approach. Don't beat yourself up we may need to just reflect and learn. KISS KISS BANG BANG. Keep your head up!

Using pen and paper as a tool for problem solving literally expands your brain and your capabilities. Solving complex problems requires juggling a lot of variables and nuance. It can be immensely helpful to have an expanded space to handle all that info and make the optimal path more accessible.

Create a Map! As a visual learner, I've utilized maps as a Management Consultant and as an Attorney. Complex problems can always be broken down into smaller pieces to determine what's feeding into the bigger issue. For example, on a white board, I will write a one-word phrase of the major/complex issue and then draw lines to all the smaller issues that may or may not be a part of the cause of the larger complex issue.
