Most of my acquaintances from project accounting accounting started journey as site accountant, working alongside operations and business runners. I believe it's a really good start as one have gain breath of business knowledge alongwith typical accounting stuffs. For example one can not only do the invoice booking but also manage the stores and supply chain activities.

I think working with a project coordinator could be extremely beneficial for this role as well. Having knowledge of the work flow, relationships that need to be formed, and the correspondence between site and office is essential.

To get into this role, one must have experience of every module of finance.
