the objectives of using simulation to test ships emergency response plan is to know the readiness of the ships officers and crew in time of real emergency. emergency may include but not limited to Man Overboard, Oil Spillage, Collision, Fire and abandon ship. collecting and analyzing the data from the simulation is from the response time, individual actions ( as per ships plan), errors. etc.
