Food Science education can be incorporated in schools right from adolescent years. This will not only promote culinary science, but it will also stimulate consumer curiosity about the food they eat, help them comprehend their food better and inspire innovative ideas to transform the food that will advance human civilization. Board games could be a good approach to introduce food science education to young children. I created a few kid-friendly games as simple as snakes and ladders, throughout my Food Science and Nutrition undergrad studies . If these games were implemented, they might motivate the next generation and bring about change. Although Tiktoks, Social Media, and other internet tools can be helpful in this digital age, doing things the old-fashioned way may have a different result. Lack of experimental facilities was one of the biggest challenges I encountered while pursuing my education in food science. My lab classes were the only source of practical knowledge I had, and they were only able to cover the theoretical aspects. There was no room for undertaking personal projects like product exploration and food testing. In order to stimulate the minds of the curious, my suggestion would be to strengthen the practical experiences.
