Sometimes teams can find it difficult to ideate value propositions. Product and technical teams usually focus on features, and this is easiest for them to envision/imagine. If you find this dynamic happening in your ideation or planning sessions- I have found it helpful to document all the feature ideas, then proceed to group as a team into like or related categories. Once categorized, then you can easily help teams to define what the value proposition is that these features could deliver to users.
