This does not strike me as a benefit specifically of TDD. In fact, automating and monitoring tests in CI/CD pipelines is something everyone should be doing regardless of which development method they use. However, TDD/BDD can give your team and stakeholders more confidence that your code is properly tested when it runs through your pipeline.

In many cases, simply focusing on writing tests first isn't enough. The true beauty comes in visualizing the behaviors that you want in your code. Done properly, your tests will tell a story about what should happen in both "happy paths" and error conditions. They can also read just like a spec document. (Compare notes with your PM!) I am a big proponent of the term "Behavior-Driven Development" (BDD) for that reason. In addition to simply verifying the behaviors you want, not just what your code does, this forces you to define those behaviors up-front. It can be a bit of extra work at first, but in my experience, it helps to eliminate entire classes of bugs down the line. And that makes the effort very much worth it.
