To have agency people need to believe not just that something should change, but that something can change (and that they personally can make a difference) and therefore ground training in incremental and attainable steps if it is to have the desired and long-lasting impact.

However, only online training can match the scale and urgency of climate and other sustainability challenges. If it’s something like “inspire people to be more sustainable around the office” - don’t design a program, there’s a thousand available resources to share. If it’s “prepare a business case to request capex for an initiative that will not save costs but has an environmental impact” …now there’s something to work with. Provide examples of what good is, share templates, include additional reading on key areas and case studies and outline who in the organisation can provide assistance.
