Next to that it is important for leadership to be open to any change upfront. Even if that to be researched change could potentially effect your own position. Without an open mindset towards change any change initiative is more likely to fail.

By finding the right scope, it can be very helpful not to have a too broad spectrum as otherwise you won't be able to get enough results for your questions. By doing in-depth research prior, as indicated, you can try to minimise it.
