As such, it becomes a goal in itself and employees can plug into the bigger picture based on their job functions. This way, all employees know the exact role they have to play in achieving the ESG goals and objectives of the business.

For example, investors’ needs are not employees’ needs. Are you doing work that employees would be proud to be a part of? Something bigger than themselves - let the data analysis show that.

This includes thinking of the best ways of asking them for feedback, telling them what you have already done, seeking their input about what else your company could do, etc. Never omit this step as the need to be heard is an intrinsic part of human nature. Do not, however, do what is trendy at the moment, but truly listen to what is the most important for your internal community.
