This opportunity provides veterans a chance to get use to with a life after military life. Just imagine when you get use to with certain things in life and then all at sudden those things are not available to you, how you would feel. Therefore, this community work is a link for them between past, present and future life. This helps all to come out of their present circle and meet people , mingle with new people and learn while having working positively. On the same hand for families of veterans, this supplies a chance to them not to get worried to much that how they will get settled back into normal routine and families can still continue with their normal routine life.

I agree, especially during a change people feel a lot more confident and can move forward with less loss and frustration when they are supoorted by a community even an interim one would make things a lot easier than being alone. Better together.

As a veteran, I contribute much of my time to help other vets to seek healing through their failures and victories and help them to share more successes than failures. Vets can learn a unique talent and ability by trusting in God and adapting themselves to excel in any area of interest such as art, writing, etc... by doing this they can help other veterans in their quest for recovery.

Engaging in community service can have positive effects on mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. It provides a sense of accomplishment and can help combat the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As a volunteer, myself, it gives me joy to see that I'm impacting lives and putting smiles in people's faces. Thoughts of such glorious moments are enough to wipe off feelings of grief. I believe volunteering can do same for vets and military families.

I have volunteered with military veterans who found meaning in advocating for fellow veterans and others who are less connected to society. From serving on boards of directors to volunteering in day-to-day operations of nonprofits such as Boy Scouts of America and local programming for our neighbors experiencing homelessness, veterans have proven very valuable in continuing to give to our society with the compassion and skills they developed in the military.

Connection and belonging is a huge need for Veterans and their families. It is important to remember that Veterans have come from a culture in which there was a built in community support system. Even though it is a great thing unfortunately it is not always that well spread all around the World. I have been part of the United Planet and it will ad not that easy to recruit or for volunteers, however there were always contributors that go beyond and above to support those that seek help.

No one should think that any efforts that goes to those that are in needs will be wasted. So even if it’s very small contribution, people should encourage themselves to be part of communities that support those that are in need.
