The reason behind using Fibonacci sequence is the realistic and exponential estimations are given to the tasks and not use linear values whose differences are not much and which results into wrong estimations. This point is often overlooked by Scrum Team. They need to understand why we are giving estimations in the Fibonacci sequence. Its given to provide practical estimations and curb risk related to timelines later. Another reason: It also helps to further refine but assigning Fibonacci values to T-shirt size to give relative estimation. It's impossible to give 100% accurate absolute estimations so we tend to give relative estimations.
