Technical glitches can erode trust in virtual training, but there are effective ways to mitigate this. To restore confidence:
- Ensure reliable technology. Invest in quality hardware and software to minimize disruptions.
- Provide clear instructions. Offer step-by-step guides for troubleshooting common issues.
- Maintain open communication. Keep lines open for feedback and be responsive to concerns.
What strategies have worked for you in maintaining trust with virtual training participants?

Virtual training is second rate and will never match up to direct interaction. To answer the question, the only way to over come these issues is in person training. You cannot load information into a human like loading computer software. There is need for constant feed back and reiteration which changes from group to group and subject.

If it is virtual training, there will certainly be technical glitches. What i personally do is, 1. 2 hours before the session, i switch off the WiFi to allow the modem to be cool. (I may be wrong. But it works for me) 2. I also sit in a place where my mobile internet has a good signal. Even if the WiFi doesn't work, i can switch to the mobile net 3. I create a wassup group & i communicate there until the issue is fixed

Here are a few strategies that have worked for me: 1. Checks: ask participants to join a few minutes early to test their setup and avoid surprises. 2. Simple Platforms: Choose easy-to-use platforms that minimize confusion. The less complicated the interface, the less problems you'll face. Zoom and Teams always do the trick for me. 3. Downloadable materials: I have all materials downloadable in advance, just in case. 4. Speak up: Let participants know that tech glitches happen and you have a clear plan on how to handle them. You should also consider the possibility of a total crush for you or a participant: make sure you can still give people some value of the training.
