Couple of things that I would also emphasize on top of the benefits of iterative/incremental development would also be that agile promotes Test Driven Development, which encourages unit tests to focus from the lens or behavior of the end user. Another thing that doesn’t get a lot of notice is that the concept of Velocity in Agile and normalized points per person per sprint, all, are geared towards protecting the development team and forecasting their capacity fairly. Teams getting introduced to the Agile framework should be made aware of how the changes can be beneficial to them, which will go a long way in helping them embrace the change.
