Evaluate the team members’ strengths and weaknesses, as well as their interests - what they are good at and what they enjoy doing. Then compare & align those with the team goals. In case you find major gaps in your team’s strengths vs team goals, then analyse the root cause - are the goals not reflecting the true mission of the team, or are there learning opportunities for the team members which they don’t pursue? Based on your findings - adjust either the goals, or the plans for the team to grow and develop professionally. After some time reevaluate again and improve the alignment of the skills with the deliverables.
