One of the major factor that can retain students is the support of a good culture, understanding teachers and an environment that is value driven. I've seen institutions turning into corporate businesses from centres of knowledge. Students being treated for granted and lack of councelling and support. Ofcourse finance is the necessity for any institution to sustain, but we must remember, compassion is also an equivalent. Higher Education Institutes must be inspirational to their students, so much so that once they reach the status of Alumni, they shall be proud brand ambassadors, not there inverse.
