Celebrate every victory, no matter how small. I always recommend creating a learning path for the topic you want to improve. In this case, as far as data analysis is concerned, I would say that it's important to learn the concepts of data modeling, Power Query, DAX, and how to build and design reports. Regularly reviewing what you are learning will give the analyst the conviction that more and more concepts are being introduced to their knowledge base and, therefore, will give them more confidence with each new project that is presented.
