For a business analyst it’s good to have the technical and functional knowledge so that you can easily fill the gap between technical and functional team. Understand from the technical team what they want to communicate, try to get some examples from them as examples are always best way to communicate, get some data or flow chart based on the explanation from the technical team. Take some quick notes during meeting , always try to note down the jargon and the keywords used during the meeting if not understanding any thing try to get more details during call or email based on your understanding. Always make sure you have the clear picture then only you will be able to fill the gap between functional and technical team.
